This project is an example of a single storey side extension which is going to enlarge the existing kitchen and utility room to form a spacious open plan kitchen. An integral double garage is also to be built on the front with access through the utility room. The first stage is to remove the existing structures.
We then calculate the correct site levels and start to dig the foundation trench.
Concrete is then poured to form the foundations and oversite.
Brickwork up to D.P.C has now been laid, and the timber joists to form the suspended floor have been fitted. The front garage is starting to take shape.
With the brickwork and roofing complete, the building is now weather tight. The steels have been fitted on cast pad stones and the existing external wall removed.
The driveway can now be leveled and scalping's laid to form a base for the new tarmac drive.
With the Electrical and Plumbing first fixing finished, the internal walls are boarded ready for plastering.
Once the rooms are plastered, we can start to fit the new kitchen.
